NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM EXTENDS ITS UNBEATEN RUN
Azerbaijani national team has extended its unbeaten run by drawing 2:2 in a friendly against Latvia. Following the goalless first half in which Gurban Gurbanov and Nadir Nabiyev had a real goal chances host team could score an opening goal in the second half. Following Emin Guliyev’s equalizer Azerbaijani team went ahead with Gurban Gurbanov’s penalty goal. However, Latvia could equalized the score at the end. It was the last warm-up for the Latvian team before the final round of the European championship.
Before this game, Azerbaijan won two consecutive games against Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
