On July 23, Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ziyafat Askerov met with Deputy Under Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Andrea Cellino staying for a visit in the capital of Azerbaijan.

Greeting the guest, Ziyafat Askarov said that Azerbaijan is interested in development of relationships with NATO and its structures. The agreement on holding the NATO PA Rose-Roth seminar in Baku is the evidence of our cooperation developing. Azerbaijan pays a special attention to its cooperation with such prestigious organization as NATO and takes all efforts for development of these relations.

In response, Andre Cellino noted they consider the co-operation with Azerbaijan as very important. The aim of visit to Baku is to be acquainted with prospects of these relations as well as the course of the preparatory work for the Rose-Roth seminar. He has already considered some issues and was completely satisfied with the results.

In conclusion, the parties shared their views on other issues of mutual interest.
