NEW PACKAGE OF TACIS PROJECTS

Experts of the European Union program of TACIS have prepared a new package of projects totally amounted at 14 million Euro, TACIS Baku office reports.

The package of seven projects has been sent to the Central office of TACIS for consideration and the official respond to Baku representation’s apply is expected in the near time. Side by side with support of economic reforms, TACIS projects foresee financing of court and administrative system modernization program. In particular, some 1,5 million Euro are to be allocated for improvement of the jail system in Azerbaijan.

Besides, 3,4 million Euro are to be directed to financing of the programs in the fields of statistics, customs and law enforcement organs as well as to the opening of manager courses for young specialists. Ministries of Justice, Taxes, Economic Development, Fuel and Energy are participants of the project on behalf of Azerbaijan.

In addition, 500 thousand Euro will go to re-equipment of the open joint stock company Azneftchimmash, Baku office of TACIS said.
