NO PROBLEM, SAYS ROMANIAN EXPERT
President of the Human Rights Organization with an observer status at the United Nations Flarentin Skalewski said these elections were distinguished from previous ones by lack of tension. The expert observing the process on his own accord, said the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were very well-organized, and that he did not see any reason for any changes. “I can say I did not come across any violation. Everything is OK. No problem,” he said. The Romanian expert added the international media spread wrong reports on the situation in Azerbaijan stressing stability is what Azerbaijan needs first for its integration into the European structures. “I am well aware of the President Ilham Aliyev’s Orders dealing with improvement of election system in Azerbaijan. These documents contain a number of important issues for democratic conduct of the elections. I liked the fact that the elections were observed by non-governmental organizations with 30% foreign funding,” he said.
