ONE MORE ARMENIAN CANARD DISPROVED
Of late, some local mass media attempting to generate discord between Azerbaijan and Georgia have spread referring to correspondent of RIA Novosti G. Matevossian the information that Georgia allegedly approves the participation of Armenian companies in the infrastructures being developed for Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline construction. It was allegedly stated by Secretary of Georgian National Security Council Tedo Japaridze in Armenia during his meeting with speaker of the National Assembly of the country Arthur Bagdasarian. Commenting on the Mr. Japaridze’s visit to Yerevan, Georgian embassy to Azerbaijan described the information as not representing the facts. “Neither Georgian side nor Tedo Japaridze personally discussed the issues of Armenian companies’ participation in the energy projects, in particular Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan or Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, in the Georgian territory”, said Georgian Embassy in Baku.
