OPERATIVE MEETING IN MILITARY PROSECUTOR OFFICE
Making speech at the meeting, acting Military Prosecutor, Justice Colonel I. Mammadov analyzed real state of affairs related to further strengthening of law and order in Armed Forces, human rights and freedoms defense, reasons of shortcomings and mistakes during 6 months of 2003.
A demand to every employee of Military Prosecutor Office, to observe a new law adopted according to the international standards and democratic principles, court and legal reforms successfully realized under the immediate guidance or President of Azerbaijan, Chief Commander Heydar Aliyev, active criminality combat was expressed at the meeting.
Further, it was pointed out, that radical reforms in prosecutor organs carried out after a meeting of the President with leaders of Prosecutor Office on April 26, 2000, creation of a necessary legal and normative basis for Prosecutor Office’s activities in new conditions, making material and social provision of employees to meet the international standards have become possible due to contribution of President of Azerbaijan, Chief Commander Heydar Aliyev.
It is important that each employee of Prosecutor organs showed their civil position on the eve of Presidential Elections, the most remarkable event in our country’s life, took all necessary actions directed against forces interested in opposition in society and violation of the Elections.
Due to wise and foresight home and foreign policy of President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, as well as to Ilham Aliyev’s successful activities in economic, social and diplomatic fields, our country’s prestige among the international community raised and it took its proper place among civilized countries of the world. The first half of 2003, marked by permanent improvement of people welfare, step by step solution of social problems, further democratization of society, was prominent for achievements of Military Prosecutor Office by positive results in the soonest realization of urgent tasks. As some shortcomings occurred in work of Military Prosecutor Office, they noted at the meeting that the actions on their termination would be taken immediately.
Appointment of Ilham Aliyev as Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan by President Heydar Aliyev’s Decree of August 4, 2003, was taken by employees of organs of Military Prosecutor Office with pleasure.
The operative meeting passed a congratulation letter to Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
