Summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will commence in Strasbourg on 21 June.

Members of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan Parliament), members of the delegation of Azerbaijan in the Council of Europe led by chairman of the standing commission of Milli Majlis international relations and inter-parliamentary links Samad Seyidov will take part at the event. The delegation comprises MPs Ali Huseynov, Naira Shahtakhtinskaya, Vagif Vekilov, Gulamhuseyn Alibeyli, Rafael Huseynov, Aydin Mirzazade, Bakhtiyar Aliyev, Azer Kerimli and Asim Mollazade.

The session will conduct elections to COE Secretary General and head of Azerbaijan delegation Mr. Samad Seyidov will make report on activity of the Assembly Bureau and Permanent Commission.

Discussed are expected also the issues of observation by Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina of the obligations, EBRD contributions to economic development of Central and Eastern Europe, role of the women in conflict prevention and peace building and others.

The visit will end on 26 June.
