According to chairman of the Milli Majlis permanent commission on social policy Hadi Rajabli, pensions of 640 citizens retired during soviet period have been indexed. However, applications are being submitted to the commission. 8 thousand 200 grievances have been received for 8 years. Pensions of those retired in 1989-1993 were counted in accordance with the salary they got that time. Their pensions must be also indexed. Having recognized these grievances as valid commission referred to the relevant organizations.

According to the chairman of the State Social Security Fund Selim Muslimov, there are still persons left whose pensions have not been indexed. At present, the new bill towards this issue is being drafted and will be submitted to the parliament.
