Pope Francis: The Holy See and Heydar Aliyev Foundation enjoy fruitful cooperation

“The Holy See and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation enjoy fruitful cooperation. A number of historical monuments of world importance restored by the Foundation in the Vatican are considered great works in the field of cultural heritage protection,” said head of the Catholic Church His Holiness Pope Francis as he met with Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Holy See Ilgar Mukhtarov.
Pope Francis noted that these projects serve to protect the world's cultural, historical and religious heritage, as well as develop intercultural and interreligious relations.
