PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV VISITED THE EMBASSY OF IRAN IN BAKU TO EXPRESS CONDOLENCE ON HEAVY HUMAN LOSS RESULTED BY EARTHQUAKE IN IRAN
Head of the Azerbaijani state was welcomed by the ambassador of Iran to Azerbaijan Republic Ahad Gazai.
President Ilham Aliyev made notes in the mourning book at the Embassy. It says: “Every citizen of Azerbaijan was shocked and saddened on the terrible tragedy the friendly and fraternal people of Iran suffered – strong earthquakes that hit the Bam city resulting with mass destructions and heavy human loss.
I express my heartfelt condolence to the natives and relatives of the dead, and wish patience and fortitude.
Let Allah rest their souls in peace.

President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan stands ready for any assistance to alleviate the quake caused sequences and made certain assignments.
Ambassador Ahad Gazai expressed his gratitude to the head of Azerbaijani state.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev responded to the correspondent of Iran television.
Q. You have come to the Embassy in connection with the earthquakes in Iran and once again have demonstrated your attitude. What will you say to the people of Iran?
A. I have come to extend my condolence to the people of Iran. It is a heavy, terrible occurrence and struck all of us. I wish these destructions to be eliminated as soon as possible, treated the wounded. At the same time, I stated to Mr. Ambassador that we are ready to invite the wounded and injured to our country. We shall do everything. The assistance has already been rendered, and our specialists are in Iran.
It is a great misfortune, heavy sorrow, unprecedented tragedy that resulted heavy human loss. I wish the people of Iran came out of this calamity as soon as possible. I pray to Allah to bless all the wounded.
