PRESS-SERVICE OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTRY REPORTS
On September 4, Minister of Azerbaijan Foreign Affairs Vilayat Guliyev received a newly appointed representative of the World Food Program /WFP/ to Azerbaijan Abdurahman Chodhuri.
Vilayat Guliyev congratulated Abdurahman Chodhuri on his appointment and stated that Azerbaijan attaches a special importance to development of the relations with UN, and hoped for expansion of WFP activity in Azerbaijan and further fruitful cooperation.
Minister touched on Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Garabakh, which impedes the development of the region.
Abdurahman Chodhuri stated that he supports the implementation of joint projects in Azerbaijan in the frame of this program and development of cooperation.
The parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
