Prince of Jordan hails Azerbaijan’s achievements over the past 15 years

Prince Mired Bin Ra'ad Bin Zeid Al-Hussein of Jordan, who also chairs Jordan's National Committee for Demining and Rehabilitation as well as Higher Council for Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, has hailed Azerbaijan`s accomplishments over the past 15 years as he met with Azerbaijani ambassador Rasim Rzayev. He praised Azerbaijan’s rapid development over the past years and the country`s achievements in various areas of political, economic, social and cultural life.
The Prince of Jordan lauded Azerbaijan for its accomplishments in the field of demining and rehabilitation of areas, social protection and rehabilitation of disabled people, as well as Paralympic games. He also emphasized the country’s rich tourism potential.
Prince Mired Bin Ra'ad Bin Zeid Al-Hussein said that if invited, he will be ready to visit Azerbaijan again to discuss prospects for cooperation in various areas with his counterparts and to get acquainted with the tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Rasim Rzayev hailed close friendship and cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the positive impact of personal friendly ties between President Ilham Aliyev and King Abdullah II.
Ambassador Rzayev highlighted the history of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, aggression and ethnic cleansing policy carried out by Armenia, genocides committed against the people of Azerbaijan, occupation of 20% of Azerbaijan’s territory, which left more than one million refugees and IDPs.
The ambassador commended Jordan for its fair and firm position on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Saying that under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of May 16, 2017, a series of events marking the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic will be held throughout the country and around the world. He invited the Prince of Jordan to participate in a solemn event to be held on this occasion.
Director of the Jordan National Committee for Demining and Rehabilitation Mohammad Breikat, adviser of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Jordan Ilham Aliyev were also present in the meeting.
