PUBLIC ORDER OFFICIALS OF TURKEY’S MIA VISITING AZERBAIJAN

A delegation led by head of the Chief Department for public order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey Gokhan Aydiner, with a2-day visit arrived in Baku, 11 September.

On the same day, head of Chief Department for public order Gokhan Aydiner and his entourage visited the Alley of Martyrs to revere memories of the courageous fighters who fell for freedom and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, for the territorial integrity of the Country.

The guests laid wreath on the tombs of the heroes and on the Eternal Flame.

The guests also visited the tombs of the heroic Turkish soldiers erected to their memory.

In the same day, minister of internal affairs of Azerbaijan, colonel-general Ramil Usubov met with the head of the Chief Department for public order of Turkey MIA Gokhan Aydiner and his entourage.

Minister Ramil Usubov warmly greeting the guests expressed gratitude for their arrival in Baku and said that such visits promote development of the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations. Noting that just Turkey was the first to recognize independence of Azerbaijan, the Minister emphasized the achieved success last years, as well as, thanks to hard labor of President Heydar Aliyev, who has a invaluable contributions in recognition of the country on the world arena, development of Country, the Republic avoided from the civil war, criminal groups, maintained peace and tranquility. He noted that the successful internal and external policy pursued by the head of state Heydar Aliyev would yield its fruits in all fields. Today, citizens of the Republic live in condition of safety, and in the Republic, there have been established democratic principles.

Noting that Azerbaijan is one of the most stable states of CIS on criminality, Mr. Ramil Usubov

Said: “As a result of undertaken measures, in the Country, reduced the number of grave crimes, reached significant conclusions in protection of human rights, in the system of police were conducted reforms meeting European standards.

Recalling that experience of the fraternal Turkey in this field is attached a great attention, as well as mutual visits of the MIA officials, expansion, as the result of this, of ties, Mr. Usubov stressed: “Tens of Azerbaijanis educated in the Ankara Police Academy, are now serving their nation. This have much more expanded the cooperation of both internal bodies and it will be continued.”

Minister Ramil Usubov also touched the links existing between the Forces of Gendarmerie of the fraternal country and Internal Troops of Azerbaijan, detention and extradition of criminals, noted that in these spheres have been made a lot.

Saying that criminal situation in Azerbaijan is completely under the control Mr. Ramil Usubov stressed the importance of the visit of Prime Minister of the Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Turkey, added: “This will be a new stage for greater development of the Azerbaijani-Turkish links in all spheres”.

Head of the Chief Department for public order of Turkey Gokhan Aydiner expressed gratitude for warm reception, saying that he arrived in Baku to further develop the relations between the appropriate organs of the two states. He said: “We are children of one nation. In short time, Azerbaijan have developed so that can be an example, strengthened its statehood and security, in the Country, was maintained public order. It is, of course, the result of wise policy. We highly assess the merits of the law-enforcers of Azerbaijan in the field of protection of safety of the population. Serious work has been done in the field of combat against terrorism, organized crime, drug trade, and smuggling. With great satisfaction, we share our experience in this field as well with the colleagues from Azerbaijan.”

The parties focused a number of other issues of mutual interest.

On the same day, head of the Chief Department for public order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey Gokhan Aydiner had a meeting at the Chief Department of Internal Troops of the MIA of Azerbaijan.
