QUESTIONS OF MUTUAL COOPERATION DISCUSSED
At the meeting, discussed were some questions connected to status of the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia, and the Georgians, living in Azerbaijan. It was marked, that intensive development of communications of strategic partnership of two countries opens ample opportunities for the joint solution of all problems.
Noting that friendly relations between the two presidents are stimulus for greater strengthening strategic partnership of two countries, rapprochement of two peoples with each other, N. Ibrahimov has told, that it promotes closer cooperation of the state and governmental structures. Having expressed confidence of the prompt solution of difficulties with which the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia face, the Chairman of Committee has declared, that the Azerbaijani side is also ready to render certain assistance in this cause.
G. Kheviashvili has noted that the ministry he leads does a lot on organization of the Georgians, living worldwide. It tries to study their problems. Having noted, that with interest he observed II Congress of World Azerbaijanis, the visitor has told: “Azerbaijan possesses certain experience in business of Diaspora building. We are interested in cooperation with the State Committee in this area’, he stressed. He emphasized necessity of cooperation between corresponding governmental structures of both countries for resolution of problems of the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia, and the Georgians, living in Azerbaijan.
