REGULAR SITTING OF CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION

The Central Electoral Commission of Azerbaijan has held its regular sitting presided by Chairman Mazahir Panakhov. The Commission discussed and approved a sample protocol of parliamentary elections’ returns.

Members of the Commission made remarks on the complaints and appeals under consideration. They recognized as invalid the outcomes of the fraudulent elections in a number of polling stations in 38 election districts noting, however, that this has not affected the overall results over the mentioned districts.

Besides, the Commission has decided on submitting the complaints from Garadagh-Binagadi-Yasamal district #12 to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Present at the sitting were representatives of the OSCE Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, Embassy of the United States of America, International Foundation For Election Systems, as well as local and foreign media.
