Rockwell celebrates Queen`s Jubilee
Baku, June 8 (AZERTAC). 35 carat Diamond - Steinmetz Forevermark Jubilee Pink - at the tower of London, Steinmetz Diamonds and Forevermark celebrates the diamond jubilee
Steinmetz Diamonds have crafted a unique, cushion cut, pink-brown diamond, weighing 35.60 carats, aptly named the Steinmetz Forevermark Jubilee Pink. On display at the Tower of London from Friday 1st June, it will be a fitting tribute to mark the special occasion of HM Queen Elizabeth II`s Diamond Jubilee.
The Steinmetz Forevermark Jubilee Pink was crafted by Steinmetz Diamonds and carries the unique 19522012 Forevermark inscription, celebrating both the year the Queen came to the throne in 1952, and the 60th year of her reign, 2012. These features will forever associate it with this historic occasion.
The diamond will form the centrepiece of a new display, charting its remarkable journey from mine to finished piece. Recovered by Rockwell Diamonds in South Africa`s Saxendrift mine, the 179.60 carats rough diamond was designed and cut at Steinmetz Diamonds` Johannesburg factory where master cutters spent six months crafting the prestigious gem.
With seven decades of expertise and heritage in the diamond industry, the company has a diversified interest in the diamond business: cutting and polishing rough diamonds in Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and New York and providing rough and polished diamonds to customers around the world.
Steinmetz is known for its leadership in rare and exceptional diamonds and for its creation of unique high-end jewelry. Some of the most famous diamonds crafted by Steinmetz include the 203.04 carats De Beers Millennium Star and the magnificent Steinmetz Pink, a 59.60 carats, flawless fancy vivid pink diamond.
Their innovative and creative approach has led Steinmetz to initiate a series of special collaborations such as the `Diamonds` exhibition at the Natural History Museum, London, and the `Flawless Engineering Weekend` held at the Monaco and Singapore Grand Prix. In 2012 Steinmetz Diamonds became the title sponsor of the Steinmetz Gaborone Marathon, Botswana`s largest charity event involving 4,000 runners.
Every Forevermark diamond is inscribed with a promise; a promise that it is beautiful, rare and responsibly sourced. Less than one per cent of the world`s diamonds are eligible to become a Forevermark diamond and be inscribed with the Forevermark icon and individual number.
Forevermark is a diamond brand from the De Beers group of companies and as such, benefits from over 120 years of diamond expertise. Less than one per cent of the world`s diamonds are eligible to become a Forevermark diamond and be inscribed with the Forevermark icon and individual identification number. Invisible to the naked eye, the inscription is made using bespoke technology from the De Beers group. It is also recorded on the personalised Forevermark identification card which comes with each and every Forevermark diamond. The actual size of the inscription found on Forevermark diamonds is only 1/20th of a micron deep and can only be seen using a special Forevermark viewer which can be found in Authorised Forevermark Jewellers. It is confirmed by leading gemmological institutes that the Forevermark inscription does not affect the internal quality of a diamond in any way.
Authorised Forevermark Jewellers are able to provide a Forevermark Diamond Grading Report. It is an accurate blueprint of the qualities - cut, colour, clarity and caratage of each Forevermark diamond. The Forevermark Diamond Grading Report also features the individual identification number inscribed on the diamond and a specifically designed security hologram, providing reassurance that the Forevermark Diamond Grading Report is valid and genuine.
