Role of private sector in building sustainable cities discussed at WUF13

The UN 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku discussed the role of the private sector in building sustainable cities on the final day of the event.
Speaking at a session titled "Private Sector as a Driver of Sustainable Cities" organized by the Azerbaijan Construction Materials Manufacturers Association (ATMIA), ATMIA Secretary General Sevda Guliyeva stated that WUF13 serves as a vital platform for the international promotion of Azerbaijan’s construction and building sector, establishing new partnerships for private companies, and promoting the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand.
She noted that WUF13 acts as a prestigious international platform where the future of cities, sustainable urbanization, innovative construction approaches, and human-centered development issues are discussed.
The session featured discussions on the construction materials sector, industrial partnerships, and the role of the private sector in building sustainable cities. The event saw presentation on innovative solutions, international cooperation opportunities, and successful practices.
