ROLE OF WOMEN-REFUGEES IN PEACEFUL CONSTRUCTION DEVOTED
A 2-day seminar on the subject ‘Role of the women-refugees in peaceful construction’ was held in the State Committee for women problems. Chairperson Zahra Guliyeva stressed the significance of women’ role in resolution of the conflicts and establishment of peace.Employee of the department on problems of refugees, IDPs and migration of the administrative department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mohammad Maharramov dwelt on measures undertaking both by the government and international humanitarian organizations functioning in Azerbaijan in the field of solution of the refugees and IDPs problems.Chief technical adviser of the UN Development Fund for Women Patricia McPhillips, national coordinator of the Fund on the project ‘Women for prevention of conflicts and establishment of peace on the Southern Caucasus’ Gulshan Pashayeva informed on the work carried out in the Southern Caucasus countries.
