RUSSIAN PRESIDENT TO BID FAREWELL TO HIS COLLEAGUES AT CIS INFORMAL SUMMIT IN MOSCOW
At the informal summit of the Commonwealth leaders in Moscow, 22 February, to be attended also by the Azerbaijan President, the heads of state are expected to discuss the course of implementation of the conception for improvement of the CIS, questions of migration, as well as conducting bilateral meetings, Andrey Denisov, first deputy foreign minister of the Russian Federation told correspondent of AZERTAC.
At his words, the question on improvement of the CIS is important for all states. “The question of migration supposedly to be discussed, is also very important, and therefore in January it was created a Coordination Council of the CIS migration services, which gathered in Minsk. According to Mr. Denisov, possibly, the presidents will set a plan for the next year and onward. Along with that, the diplomat said, the informal summit is a good chance for bilateral meetings, and all presidents have probably some questions to discuss with colleagues”.
On the whole, each summit of the Commonwealth is a great political event in the life of member countries. “Informal summit is an assembly with an indefinite agenda to allow the heads of state to speak of what they count necessary.
The initiative on conducting this Summit belongs to the Russian President Vladimir Putin. He, in particular, doesn’t keep in secret that he is going to perform his constitutional duties of President, to have opportunity to bid farewell to his colleagues, express them gratitude for joint work”, the Russian diplomat underlined.
Andrey Denisov also stated that president of Kirgizia Kurmanbek Bakiyev will preside the gathering. As known, he is chairman of CIS, but the inviter is President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
