SEMINAR ON EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT PROJECT LAUNCHED
In his opening speech, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov stressed the invaluable merits of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in development of Azerbaijan education, expressed confidence in successful continuation of the reforms, including reforms in the field of education under the leadership of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev.
In his report “Successes on learning and innovation credit and strategic directions of the education reforms program (2003-2013), Mr. Mardanov noted that International Development Association allocated 18 mln dollars for this project, as well as informed the work carried out in the frame of the first credit agreement.
Then, lectures on subjects “World Bank and Project for education sector development in Azerbaijan”, “Reforms of curriculum in Azerbaijan: approaches, stages and expected results” were heard and discussed.
Deputy Chairman of Milli Majlis Ziyafat Askarov, Deputy Prime Minister Elchin Efendiyev, head of the department for science, culture, people’s education and social problems of the Cabinet of Minister Ismayil Sadigov, Ambassador of Japan in Baku Toshuyuki Fujivara and other officials attended the seminar.
