SESSION OF CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION
After that secretary of the Central Electoral Commission Natig Mammadov reported on election returns in Surkhani#31 and Sumgait #42 election districts and outlined the appeals submitted in this connection to the Commission.
As inadmissible corrections were made in the protocols over constituencies ## 8, 13, 17, 18, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 28 of the Surakhani-2 election district #31,the Central Electoral Commission decided to nullify the results of election in the mentioned constituencies. Apart form that, corresponding materials were referred to the Office of Prosecutor General of the Azerbaijan Republic for investigation.
Also recognized by the Central Electoral Commission as invalid were the election returns in Sumgait-2 election district number 42, and correspondent materials were submitted to the Office of Prosecutor General of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Member of the Central Electoral Commission Ramiz Ibrahimov reported on the election returns over the second Bunagadi election district #9 and appeals submitted from here to Commission. The Central Electoral Commission decided to recognize as invalid the election returns and handed relevant materials for investigation to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The CEC’s session also considered current issues.
The session of the Central Electoral Commission was attended by representatives of the OSCE Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Right, Embassy of the United States of America, International Foundation of Electoral Systems and local and foreign media.
