SMALL & MEDIUM ENTERPRISES DEDICATED

The 2nd Conference of Ministers of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development

/OECD/ on the small and medium enterprises was held in Istanbul.

Prime Minister of Turkey, Secretary General of OECD and other officials attended the conference.

Issues of boosting small and medium enterprises, support of development of information and communication technologies were discussed at the conference, AzerTAj correspondent learnt from the Ministry of Economic Development.

At the conference with the participation of relevant structures, international organizations and NGOs over 80 countries, Ministry for Economic Development represented Azerbaijan.

A business-symposium “Small and medium enterprises: innovational, informational, and communication technologies” was also held in the frame of the Conference.

Head of personnel of the Ministry for Economic Development S.Valiyev delivered reports on the topic “Small and medium enterprises and poverty reduction”.

Istanbul Declaration was adopted on results of the Conference.
