SOCAR becomes latest IJF partner

President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev and President of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Marius Vizer met in Budapest to sign an important agreement that makes SOCAR a new IJF Partner for the next four years.
SOCAR is internationally involved in exploring oil and gas fields, producing, processing, and transporting oil, gas, and gas condensate, marketing petroleum and petrochemical products in domestic as well as international markets, and supplying natural gas. Some 23 subdivisions, including three production divisions, one oil refinery and one gas processing plant, a deep water platform fabrication yard and other institutions are operating as corporate entities under SOCAR. The company is represented in Switzerland, Turkey, Romania, Austria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Iran, Germany, Ukraine, Singapore, Vietnam, Nigeria, and other countries.
Mr. Vizer said: “This partnership is very important for the development of judo worldwide and it is an outstanding opportunity for us to sign this new agreement with a top company. Over the years we have already been developing strong partnerships with worldwide known companies. The partnership with SOCAR will help us to develop even further all of our projects, in terms of sport, with the IJF World judo Tour, as well as in terms of education and social projects. With all what has been achieved over the past years in the judo world, we can witness an increase in interest from top companies to be associated with our development and we are very happy about it.”
