SOCAR over-fulfils plan on gas delivery in 2010
Baku, January 7 (AZERTAC). SOCAR delivered 909,982 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas to the state gas supply system in December. 22,190 mcm of gas was injected and 160,961 mcm of gas was collected out during December. A total of 1,048,753 billion cubic meters of gas was consumed in December. Of this total, 932,830 mcm of gas was supplied to population, industry and Azerenergy JSC. 38,728 mcm of gas was exported to Georgia, 40,317 mcm - to Russia, and 36,878 mcm of gas was supplied to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic via the territory of Islamic republic of Iran. SOCAR has over-fulfilled plan on natural gas delivery for the last year. SOCAR delivered 11,509,420 bcm of gas to the domestic supply system during January-December of 2010 that is 1,179,420 bcm more than planned. Besides, 804,183 mcm of gas was collected out of underground gas storages for gas supply of the domestic industry, population and implementation of gas export, and 1,924,413 bcm of gas was injected to the storages. Consequently, overall volume of the consumed gas for January-December 2010 makes 10,389,190 bcm. Of this total, 8,921,757 bcm of gas was supplied to population, industry, and Azerenergy. 339,158 mcm of gas was exported to Georgia, 799,751 mcm - to Russia, and 328,524 mcm of gas to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic via the territory of Islamic Republic of Iran. The gas reserves in the storages are estimated at the level of 3,1 bcm of gas from the beginning of gas collection season to January 1, 2011.
