Solar power plant launched in Nakhchivan

A solar power plant has been launched in Gabilli village, Kangarli district, Nakhchivan.
Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov attended the inauguration.
Chief of the State Energy Service of Nakhchivan Namig Pashayev addressed the event, hailing the development of the Autonomous Republic`s energy sector.
CEO of Pure Energy Development Sarl Michelangelo Callerami described Nakhchivan as the region’s leader in energy sector and pointed out the successful use of alternative and renewable energy resources in the Autonomous Republic.
Chairman of the Supreme Assembly Vasif Talibov said Nakhchivan has already ensured its energy security.
The chairman of the Supreme Assembly then cut the ribbon symbolizing the launch of the solar power plant.
After the ceremony, Vasif Talibov viewed a sub-artesian well using solar panels in Gabilli village, ongoing construction of a park in Givrag settlement and a closed irrigation system in Yurdchu village.
