Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament discusses bilateral ties with Czech ambassador

Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament, met with Milan Sedláček, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan, to explore cooperation in political, economic, and humanitarian sectors.
Gafarova highlighted the impact of mutual visits on strengthening ties, underscoring Azerbaijan’s dedication to advancing collaboration with the Czech Parliament.
She also noted the active cooperation of Azerbaijani and Czech MPs within international organizations and emphasized Azerbaijan's commitment to expanding parliamentary ties. Regarding COP29, Gafarova shared plans for a parliamentary meeting during the conference, emphasizing the need for global solidarity on climate issues.
Ambassador Sedláček expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, particularly among legislative bodies, and confirmed that the Czech Republic would be represented at a high level at COP29. He underscored the event’s importance in fostering global efforts to combat climate change.
The meeting concluded with discussions on other topics of mutual interest.
