He also mentioned that the Presidential Decree dated July 26 1999 “On Provision of the State Securities Committee activity under the President of Azerbaijan Republic” and approval of the relevant normative documents and laws had created favorable conditions for the equity market formation and common state policy in this sphere.
The Committee’s chairman gave detailed information on the work done in the first half of the year in the field of short-term loan bonds placing, options issue, state stocks register, deposit certificates state register, state dues preservation, National Deposit Center activities, circulation of bills and documentary stamps, protection of stockholders’ rights and international ties of the structure.
As noted, for half a year, short-term loan bonds amounting 240 398 000 000 manat have been placed in the Baku Stock Exchange, 1 482 250 000 AZM has been earned due to the issue of 242 000 privatizing options, 53 issues of shares amounting of 75 896 180 000 AZM have been provided as well as 1 shares issue of USD 500 000. National Deposit Center has registered 2308 purchase-sale deals for 10 837 934 shares.
