Baku, November 3 (AZERTAC). “Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland has seen rapid development over the last few years,” said Swiss ambassador in Baku Alain Guidetti.
Speaking to a press conference, Guidetti praised the role of high-level reciprocal visits in boosting the relations.
“Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev`s first official visit to Switzerland is a testimony to the high level of bilateral relations between the two states.”
Guidetti said “we, in particular, have tremendous progress in the cultural field”.
“On October 19 in Bern we inaugurated the Culture Days of Azerbaijan in Switzerland with participation of the two presidents. The days will continue until December.”
“It will feature a series of events - nearly 50 - including concerts by Azerbaijani jazz musician Aziza Mustafazadeh and mugham singer Alim Gasimov and performance of Leyli and Majnun,” the Swiss envoy added.
Touching upon energy cooperation, Guidetti said “there are good opportunities to expand it even more”.
