A symposium entitled ‘System of Students Support Services’ was held in Khazar University together with the Middlesex University of Great Britain and Sanyo University of Italy. The symposium, attended by representatives of local universities and international organizations, was dedicated to the results of the 2-year assistance project /2001-2003/ for the Khazar University under the CE (Council of Europe) efforts to create a Students Support Services Center. In the frame of this Project, ‘Students Support Services’ center has been established in the Khazar University. University Rector, professor Hamlet Isakhanli and professor of Middlesex University Dennis Hardy updated the audience on the project. Deputy Education Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Gasimov spoke of the education reforms being conducted in Azerbaijan and expanding links with the world’s Higher Institutions. The discussions were mainly revolving around the purposes and essence of the ‘Students Support Services’ Center and valuable experience of the other higher institutions, etc.The parties had a comprehensive exchange of views on numerous issues.
