TASIM project proposed by Azerbaijan selected one of world’s global 13 projects
Baku, March 12 (AZERTAC). The project Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway (TASIM) considered to be implemented by Azerbaijan’s initiative was selected one of the world’s 13 global projects.
According to Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, TASIM project was selected as a nominee among the 100 infrastructure projects presented at the 6th Global Infrastructure Leadership Forum organized in New York.
A TASIM project competes in the same category with Turkish Istanbul Airport project in amount of $9 bln and Brazilian Rio-de-Janeiro Airport conception in amount of $3.2 bln.
The candidates covering all sectors of infrastructure were selected from 13 countries. Azerbaijan held place among these countries with its two global projects. So, TANAP, in the amount of $7 bln, also is among the nominees of competition.
Note that the 6th Global Infrastructure Leadership Forum was attended by more than 400 representatives of government and companies.
