US CHANGES PROCEDURE OF VISA ISSUING

Procedure of visa issuing will be changed in all world countries at the end of summer. As AzerTAj was informed, according to the new rule, beginning from August 1, 2003, nearly all applicants to non-immigration visas must personally pass the interview at the US embassy.

Visa can be issued without interview to persons under 16 and over 60 years old, applicants to diplomatic or official visas, as well as persons applying for the visa on the same category as was issues for them earlier in the period of one year after the termination of the visa.

There are also new demands to the photo, attached to the application. The photo must be without frame, full face and taken in the period of last six months. The head of the applicant – face and hair must be seen fully.
