Yalchin Rafiyev: Azerbaijan is ready to share COP29 experience with Türkiye

“Türkiye's hosting of the next COP summit is anticipated to inject substantial momentum into the regional climate agenda, and Azerbaijan intends to provide practical support to the friendly nation throughout this process,” Yalchin Rafiyev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister and COP29 Lead Negotiator, told journalists.
According to him, Azerbaijan will share the organizational issues and experience applied as part of COP29 with Türkiye.
"The Turkish side is interested in this area. A visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to Türkiye is scheduled in the near future. The aim of the visit is to share experience and practical solutions for successful delivery of the summit."
“Official information regarding the venue for the summit will be announced by Türkiye. Our key goal is to support the successful organization of the COP and the finalization of the climate agenda with concrete outcomes," the Deputy Minister added.
