I cordially congratulate AZERTAC, which I safely call a brotherly news agency, on this great anniversary. 100 years is a great date. Last year TASS news agency marked its 115th anniversary so we are a little older than you. Centenary is an important milestone for any organization. Of course, this is also a significant date for AZERTAC news agency. A crucial issue for any information resource is its image. AZERTAC has practically built itself a perfect image, and the agency’s existence for 100 years in the news industry is the best proof of that.
I would like to convey my sincere greetings to my brother, Aslan Aslanov, who has chaired AZERTAC with high competence, courage, skill and integrity over the past years, spreading objective information about Azerbaijan worldwide. We are true strategic partners with AZERTAC. I am grateful to AZERTAC and its Chairman of Board Aslan Aslanov for his unwavering friendly support for our activities within the framework of the CIS Information Council. AZERTAC has always provided great and meaningful support to all our projects. I think we can describe the recent major project we implemented at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku at the end of January as a testimony to TASS's relationship with AZERTAC. We have launched a large photo exhibition "They are beloved in Baku and Moscow", whose name very well describes our mutual relationship with AZERTAC. AZERTAC is beloved in Moscow and TASS is beloved in Baku. Let it be so forever!
