Khojaly’s Damjili Spring – where raw stone, timeworn wood, and crystal-clear water unite in harmony VIDEO

AZERTAC’s “If I Were a Tourist” column this week turns its spotlight on the Damjili Spring in the Ballija village of Khojaly district.
Following the liberation of Garabagh from occupation, we travel across the lands we longed for over three decades, marveling at their natural wonders – forests, mountains, springs, and rivers.
Among these beauties is the Damjili Spring, one of Garabagh’s hidden gems that continues to enchant those who visit it – though many still remain unaware of its existence.
Located alongside the road, the spring reveals itself only when you descend the stone steps leading to it. As you approach, it becomes impossible not to admire the natural wonder before you. Drops of water trickle down from cave-shaped rocks, while ancient trees rooted in the stone add to the scene’s mystery and charm. One might say that this natural monument was born from the companionship of stone, wood, and water.
In autumn, the golden tones of leaves and trees lend the place a special enchantment, turning the Damjili Spring into a perfect union of earth’s elements and colors.
