Azerbaijani artists’ exhibition opens in Prague
Prague, August 3, AZERTAC
An opening ceremony of the international exhibition "Toward the Sun", showcasing the works of young Azerbaijani artists, took place at Delyafruz Art Gallery, located in central Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
The exhibition was hosted by the gallery's owner, acclaimed Azerbaijani artist Delyafruz, and curated by sculptor Roza Hasanova.
According to the organizers, the exhibition's title, “Toward the Sun”, symbolizes the pursuit of light, warmth, and creativity. The exhibition brings together works inspired by Azerbaijan's nature and cultural heritage, with sunlit hues serving as a unifying visual theme. It features paintings, graphic art, sculptures, ceramics, batik, tapestries, and examples of traditional carpet weaving by 30 Azerbaijani artists.
The opening ceremony included remarks by Leyla Begim, a member of the Czech and Azerbaijani Writers' Unions, while award-winning violinist Janel Najafli performed a musical program.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participating artists.
