Paris, September 20, AZERTAC
The Cultural Center of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France hosted "Azerbaijani Cinema Day in Paris" in the French capital.
The initiative was co-organized by Azerbaijan’s Cinema Agency and the country’s Embassy in France.
Speaking at the event, Rashad Azizov, Director General of the Cinema Agency, noted that the growing number of film and animation studios operating in Azerbaijan has led to the production of numerous film and animation projects. He underscored the importance of closer cooperation with other countries during the implementation of these projects.
The Director General mentioned that international film cooperation serves not only film production, but also contributes to the development of cultural dialogue among nations.
According to him, such collaboration can become an important tool of cultural diplomacy.
The event featured the screening of three animated films - “Under the Same Rain,” “Bum-Bum,” and “Isi and Piti” - as well as the documentary “Dream of Paradise” highlighting the life and creativity of Mirza Gadim Iravani, an outstanding representative of 19th-century Azerbaijani painting.
The documentary, which depicted fascinating aspects of Iravani’s life, presented the audience with a significant chapter of Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage.
