Main Clinical Hospital hosts awareness-raising event

On October 16, awareness-raising event on “Proper Management and Segregation of Medical Waste” was held at the Main Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan by specialists from the Regional Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
Opening the event, Chief Sanitary Inspector of the Azerbaijan Army, Lieutenant Colonel of the Medical Service Hamlet Huseynov briefed the participants on the importance of the meeting and provided an overview of the subject.
The event covered legislative requirements governing medical waste management, as well as procedures for the proper segregation, collection, transportation, and disposal of medical waste. Participants also discussed the potential effects of medical waste on human health and the environment, the challenges encountered in this field, and possible solutions.
The event aimed to raise awareness of the safe management of medical waste, ensure environmental safety, and promote best practices in environmental protection.
