Iranian deputy FM hails Azerbaijan’s efforts to advance regional cooperation
Baku, October 15, AZERTAC
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Government and people of Azerbaijan for hosting this Summit and for their efforts to advance regional cooperation. Asian countries, despite their human, economic, and cultural potential, are convening at a time when the world is facing complex security threats,” said Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, addressing the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku.
He also stressed the importance of reviewing existing security approaches and cooperation mechanisms amid weakening multilateralism, rising violence, and unfolding regional crises.
