New chairman and Board members elected to Azerbaijan Press Council

Vugar Zifaroglu, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Baku State University (BSU), has been elected Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council at the 9th Congress of Azerbaijani Journalists.
New members of the Press Council’s Board were also elected at the Congress.
A total of 225 delegates had confirmed their participation in the Congress, but only 201 attended.

The 9th Congress of Azerbaijani Journalists has commenced in Baku.
Seyfaddin Huseynli, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper 525, read out an address from the participants of the Congress to President Ilham Aliyev.
A total of 225 delegates have confirmed their participation in the Congress, organized by the Azerbaijan Press Council.
New members of the Press Council’s Board are to be elected at the Congress.
