Baku State University to establish cooperation with nine Uzbek universities

Baku, October 16, AZERTAC

Baku State University (BSU) has signed cooperation agreements with nine Uzbek higher education institutions to strengthen collaboration in education, research, and academic exchange. The agreements were signed during the Second Rectors’ Forum on Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan Higher Education Partnership, hosted by Garabagh University in Khankendi.

The memorandums provide for academic exchanges, joint research and educational programs, scientific events, and cooperation in environmental management.

BSU and Fergana State University also signed an action plan for 2026–2027 covering student and staff exchanges, joint research, dual-degree opportunities, and international grant projects.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev participated in a panel discussion on strengthening university–industry cooperation and innovation partnerships.
