Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss regional cooperation

Tbilisi, September 22, AZERTAC

On September 22, Fuad Azizov, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Batumi, met with Giorgi Ghurjumelidze, State Representative (Governor) of Georgia’s Guria region.

The discussions covered Azerbaijan–Georgia relations, opportunities for expanding interregional cooperation, agricultural ties, and mutual investment opportunities.

The sides highlighted the potential of Georgia’s Guria region, particularly in hazelnut production, and considered opportunities for Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to invest in the region and organize “Agro Business Forums” bringing together businesspeople from the two countries.

They also exchanged views on further strengthening regional cooperation and expanding business-to-business ties.
