Khankendi hosts Turkic World’s Women Artists exhibition

An art symposium and exhibition bringing together talented women artists from across the Turkic world have been organized in Khankendi to mark the City Day.
Held at the initiative of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), the event was attended by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, Deputy Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankandi city, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts Sabuhi Gahramanov and others.
The guests first toured the exhibition, which featured artworks depicting Garabagh’s nature, cityscapes, rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as the ongoing restoration and reconstruction projects underway in the region.
During the five-day symposium, female artists from Turkic countries explored the rich history, culture, nature, and modern transformation of the region, capturing their impressions in their paintings.
The event aims to bring together female artists from across the Turkic world on a common platform, strengthen cultural ties and creative cooperation among Turkic states, and foster the exchange of professional experience and ideas in the field of fine arts.
The exhibition was organized at the Khankandi Cultural Center.
Following the exhibition, the Lankaran State Drama Theater troupe presented a series of stage performances for the guests.
