Azerbaijan’s national cuisine showcased in Belgrade

Azerbaijan’s national culinary traditions were showcased at the international gastronomy festival “Taste of Planet” held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
Organized by the Azerbaijan Language and Culture Center at the University of Belgrade with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Serbia, the presentation took place in the capital’s historic Kalemegdan Park.
Addressing the ceremony, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Serbia Tahir Taghizada highlighted the importance of presenting Azerbaijani culture, its rich national cuisine, and traditions of hospitality to the Serbian public. He emphasized that such cultural events contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries.
The diplomat also noted the celebration of September 20 – Azerbaijan’s State Sovereignty Day.
The event then featured the screening of a video highlighting the history, nature, culture and cuisine of Azerbaijan.
Participants of the festival were offered delicious dishes of Azerbaijani national cuisine.
