Grape and Wine Festival kicks off in Shamakhi

The Grape and Wine Festival kicked off in Shamakhi on September 19.
The two-day festival was co-organized by the Shamakhi District Executive Authority, Abgora restaurant and the Nasimi Gardens complex in the village of Meysari, Shamakhi district.
Held for the fifth time, the festival aims to promote local grape and wine production, increase the export potential of wine products, raise public awareness of the history of viticulture and winemaking in Azerbaijan and the work carried out in this field, and contribute to expanding the region’s tourism potential.
Held on the premises of the viticulture and winemaking complex of “Shirvan Wines” LLC in Meysari village, the festival features various brands showcasing their grape products.
Visitors have the opportunity to learn more about viticulture, winemaking and Azerbaijan’s tourism potential, as well as enjoy various entertainment and show programs.
Fun-filled activities designed for different age groups throughout the day add special vibrancy to the festival program. Guests can participate in various competitions and quizzes, as well as attend dynamic presentations, interactive shows and concert programs.
On the first day of the festival, which will continue until the evening, popular singers Roza Zargarli, Kazim Jan and Joseph U.O, as well as DJ Kamo, will perform.
The Grape and Wine Festival will run through September 20.
