Omani delegation visits Baku SME House

As part of a visit to Azerbaijan, an Omani delegation led by Halima bint Rashid al-Zari, Chairperson of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (RIYADA), familiarized themselves with the activities of Baku SME House.
The delegation got acquainted with the facilities at the SME House for providing services to entrepreneurs, as well as exchanged views on the organization of “G2B” and “B2B” services.
They were also briefed that SME Houses provide entrepreneurs with the services from various public and private entities in a single location, allowing them to save time and operational costs, as well as access more efficiently and conveniently.
SME Houses are currently operating in the cities of Baku, Ganja, Khachmaz, Yevlakh, and Shusha, offering over 300 G2B services from 35 government agencies and 160 "B2B" services from 13 private organizations.
The Riyada delegation also met with leadership of Azerbaijan's Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA).
The KOBIA leadership provided insight into the development of Azerbaijan’s SMEs and state support mechanisms.
The sides discussed policies and practices on the SME development, as well as opportunities for expanding cooperation in the sector.
