Azerbaijan and Colombia sign agreement on mutual visa exemption

On the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs Omar Bula Escobar.
The ministers discussed the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan–Colombia relations, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening political dialogue and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
The discussions covered opportunities to enhance economic ties, tourism, education and cultural cooperation. The sides also exchanged views on cooperation within multilateral platforms, including the UN, as well as regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was followed by the signing of the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Colombia on the Mutual Exemption from Visa Requirements for Holders of Ordinary Passports,” further strengthening the legal and institutional framework for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Colombia.
