Azerbaijani delegation explores international experience in competition law in Spain

Employees of the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the “Introduction to Competition Law” workshop organized by the Regional Centre for Competition (RCC), co-established by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH).
Held at the School of Law at the University of Málaga in Spain, the workshop focused on developing professional skills in competition law, sharing experience on practical issues, and learning about the approaches of competition authorities from different countries. The program combined theoretical presentations with practical exercises and discussions.
The workshop featured presentations by representatives of the competition authorities of Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Belgium, and Finland, as well as an expert from Germany’s Federal Cartel Office. The sessions covered abuse of dominance, merger control, key competition-protection tools and market studies conducted in Spain.
Participants also discussed the role of relevant authorities in promoting competition policy and received certificates at the end of the workshop.
