Baku Engineering University student wins Youth Foundation's grant competition

The project "AI Youth Camp," submitted by Zarif Salehzade, a second-year student majoring in "Computer Science" at the Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies of Baku Engineering University (BEU), has won the grant competition of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Aimed at developing young people's knowledge and skills in the field of artificial intelligence, the project's main goal is to strengthen students' innovative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, and to contribute to equipping them with new knowledge and experience in applying modern technologies.
As part of the project, participants will identify real-world problems and develop innovative AI-based solutions for them. The program of the event, which will be held in a two-day in-person camp format, will also include a mini-hackathon. During the hackathon, participants will present their ideas and technological solutions for the projects they have developed.
It should be noted that the "Grant Competition for Youth Organizations and Development, Innovation and Social Initiatives for Young People," in line with the priorities of state youth policy, aims to develop the potential of young people and youth organizations, promote their active participation in the social, economic, cultural, and civic life of society, and support their innovative and socially beneficial initiatives.
The competition also aims to contribute to shaping young people as individuals devoted to national-spiritual values, patriotic, creative, and socially responsible.
This achievement by the BEU student is another indication of the attention given at the university to young people's innovative initiatives, their interest in modern technologies, and the development of their knowledge and skills in the field of artificial intelligence.
