Baku, March 5, AZERTAC
The supply of oil products and Russian fertilizer from Azerbaijan to Armenia continues.
On 5 March, 31 wagons carrying 1,984 tons of diesel fuel and 2 wagons loaded with 135 tons of Russian fertilizer were dispatched from the Bilajari station of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC en route to the Boyuk Kasik station. The cargo will reach Armenia via transit through Georgian territory.
Reports indicate that the Russian fertilizer is also being sent to Armenia via transit through Azerbaijan.
The most recent shipment on 25 February included 39 tank wagons carrying 4,500 tons of diesel fuel to Armenia. Earlier, on 11 January, 18 wagons loaded with 979 tons of AI-92 motor gasoline were sent, and on 9 January, a total of 2,698 tons of oil products were supplied, including 1,742 tons of AI-95 gasoline and 956 tons of diesel fuel.
Fuel exports to Armenia began on 18 December 2025, when 1,220 tons of AI-95 motor gasoline were sent to the country.
These shipments are conducted in accordance with a decision signed by President Ilham Aliyev in October 2025. The decision lifted restrictions on the transit of cargo from Azerbaijan to Armenia that had been in place since the occupation period, enabling such deliveries.
