A week ago, Georgian customs officers discovered 395 mobile phones among other cargo at the Girmizi Korpu crossing point. The particpnats of the actions stated that the customs must consider the issue of mobile phone separately and return the other cargo to their owners.
Another protest action was held in front of the Tbilisi regional customs terminal of Lilo-1. Eastern crossing points’ chief Paata Kokaya is accused with this action. He, in his turn, stated that the investigation on paying off customs duties is still going on. After owners of mobile phones are determined, other cargo will be returned to their owners.
